Minor complications include:

· Skin Infection

· Stiffness in the big toe

· Numbness of part of the big toe

· Painful or abnormal scar formation

· Irritation or pain caused by the hardware

· Cast sores

· Stress fractures of other metatarsals

· Minor bleeding

· Allergic skin reaction to tape, dressing or latex

· Nausea and vomiting.
