Closed Caption - Moving to the Recovery Room (Wrist Surgery)

After the procedure you will be moved to a recovery room, here you will be monitored closely as you recover from the anesthesia. You will be kept in this area until your healthcare providers feel you are recovering well from the procedure, usually within 1 to 2 hours.

Following this surgery, it is common to feel pain in your wrist. Pain medicine will be given to help relieve this.

Sometimes, during recovery, patients may also shiver or experience nausea. Both of these symptoms can be related to the anesthesia. Your healthcare providers can give you medication to help relieve this.

Remember that your healthcare providers want you to recover without any problems. So be sure to report anything that does not feel normal or "right."
