A wrist fracture involving the radius bone is one of the most common fractures seen by orthopedic doctors. The majority of these types of fractures can be treated with a cast and have good results. However, most unstable fractures are best treated with surgery, which may include the placement of internal and/or external hardware. In most cases, this procedure provides good results with limited complications.
