Major complications include, but are not limited to:

• Inability to return the wrist to its original position or maintain that position

• Loss or limited motion of the wrist and/or fingers Continued pain

• Nerve damage

• Infection

• Hardware failure or breakage

• Pain around the hardware

• Tendon rupture or tear

• Wound breakdown

• Poor or delayed healing of the fracture

• Reaction to medication or anesthesia

• Other rare and unlikely events.
