Generic Skelid

There are currently no generic Skelid products available on the market. Although the last listed patent for the drug has expired, no manufacturers have decided to make a generic version. The reason for this is unclear. However, it is possible that, since there is not a huge demand for Skelid, it wouldn't make financial sense to produce a generic version.

Skelid^® (tiludronate disodium) is a Paget's disease medication available by prescription. It is part of a group of medications known as bisphosphonates. Skelid is made by sanofi-aventis and is not available in generic form at this time.
